Description

James Sturdee: Registered Psychological Counsellor – Morningside

About Me

I am a registered psychological counsellor with over 14 years of experience. I completed my Honours degree in Psychology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2007. Following this, I specialised in trauma counselling during my internship at McCord Hospital in Durban. In 2010, I passed my board exam and began my practice.

I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pretoria. My research focused on childhood emotional neglect and its relationship with self-compassion in adults.

In addition to my private practice, I offer Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) for both corporate and academic institutions. These include critical incident debriefings and soft skills training.
