Janet Yasities Cognitive Behavioural Therapist Glasgow offers personalised, warm, and effective therapy designed to meet your unique needs. I deliver therapy from a cognitive and behavioural perspective, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. First, I build a strong therapeutic relationship based on empathy, acceptance, and openness. Then, I combine my foundation in person-centred therapy with advanced approaches like compassion-focused therapy, schema therapy, mindfulness, and mindful self-compassion. This creative blend allows me to tailor sessions specifically to you.
Since 2017, I have worked at Priory as a cognitive behavioural therapist. During my first three years, I provided full-time one-to-one therapy, alongside group sessions as part of the Groupwork programme. Later, I adapted to hybrid working, balancing face-to-face sessions with remote video therapy.
I earned my Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Groupwork in 2016 from the Centre of Therapy and ACT Counselling Services. Alongside this, I have trained extensively in mindfulness, mindful self-compassion, schema therapy, and compassion-focused therapy. This diverse training equips me to deliver comprehensive mental health support.
I treat a wide range of mental health conditions. These include anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, anger management, bereavement, phobias, postnatal depression, and seasonal affective disorder (SAD). Additionally, I work with clients to manage symptoms and improve quality of life using evidence-based cognitive behavioural techniques.
Choosing the right therapist is crucial. I prioritize creating a warm and accepting space where you feel heard and supported. I focus on practical strategies that you can apply in your daily life. Moreover, my combined approach ensures therapy feels personalised and adaptable. You will find clarity, empowerment, and resilience through our work together.
