Jen Morement Psychotherapist Nottingham provides specialised therapeutic support for children, young people, and adults facing emotional and psychological challenges. With over 20 years of professional experience, Jen began her career as a Social Worker, supporting children with complex health needs and severe learning disabilities.
Since then, her focus has expanded. She now works with a broad age range and addresses various emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs. Through a warm and collaborative approach, Jen ensures each client feels safe, heard, and empowered to heal.
Throughout her career, Jen has worked in multiple sectors, including local authorities, the NSPCC, the NHS, specialist therapeutic services, and independent fostering agencies. Notably, she has spent the last five years working independently. This broad exposure has deepened her understanding of complex systems and helped her tailor effective interventions for each client.
In addition to therapy, she also provides clinical supervision and training for professionals and organisations. As a result, Jen’s impact extends beyond individuals to influence better care across services.
Clients often come to Jen for help with developmental trauma, attachment issues, and emotional regulation. Many are children in foster care, adopted families, or residential settings. Because of her expertise in these areas, Jen offers interventions that restore safety, connection, and trust.
Furthermore, she helps clients manage anxiety, depression, and harmful behavioural patterns. Her therapeutic strategies not only reduce symptoms but also promote long-term resilience.
Jen’s qualifications allow her to draw from several evidence-based models. She is trained in:
Developmental Dyadic Psychotherapy (DDP)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Psychodynamic Play Therapy
By combining these methods, she provides flexible, client-centred therapy. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, she works in partnership with families to create personalised pathways to healing.
Jen’s academic and professional journey includes:
PG Diploma in Child and Adolescent Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy – University of Derby (2014)
PG Diploma in Psychodynamic Play Therapy – Liverpool Hope University (2008)
Diploma in Social Work – University of Salford (1997)
In addition, she is a registered member of BABCP, BACP, BAPT, and Social Work England. These affiliations demonstrate her commitment to high standards and ethical practice.
Alongside her therapeutic work, Jen supports professionals through training and supervision. This work ensures that other practitioners are equipped to respond compassionately and effectively to the needs of vulnerable children and families. Because of her experience and insight, Jen is a valuable resource to both individuals and organisations.
