Jenny Biglands Counsellor Bradford I am committed to providing a supportive and creative space for adults aged 18 and over. My approach to therapy is rooted in integrative counselling, drawing on nature and creative arts to enhance the healing process. I believe that nature has a unique ability to facilitate self-exploration and transformation, which is why I incorporate it into my work whenever possible.
My approach is both collaborative and creative. Together, we will build a framework that nurtures connection, compassion, and growth. I will offer you a space where you can trust that your thoughts and feelings are held with care and respect. You will set the pace of our work, and we will adapt as needed to suit your individual needs.
The work we do can focus on a particular issue or take a more open direction, depending on what you seek from therapy. I often work with people who feel stuck or sense a need for change. I also help those processing difficult experiences that were not of their making. Whatever your needs, I am here to support you every step of the way.
I have extensive experience as a counsellor and have worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, educational institutions, and life coaching. Additionally, I am a director and co-founder of Rooted for Girls CIC, a woodland-based therapeutic organisation. This initiative supports women and teenage girls through strength-based and nurturing interventions in an outdoor setting.
My background also includes roles in the charity sector, where I managed a debt counselling service and assisted with a supported housing project for young people. These experiences have shaped my approach and deepened my understanding of the challenges people face.
I hold a BSc (Honours) Degree in Psychology and Music and an Advanced Diploma in Counselling. Additionally, I have completed various post-graduate courses, including training in Nature as Co-therapist and Creative Counselling for Young People. I am currently pursuing a post-graduate foundation certificate in Psychotherapy, specialising in Transactional Analysis within an ecological approach.
As a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, I adhere to their ethical code of practice. I am dedicated to ongoing professional development to ensure that I am always providing the best possible support for my clients.
Finding the right counsellor is crucial. To make this decision easier, I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation. During this call, we can discuss your needs and goals for therapy. I will also assess whether I am the right fit for you. This consultation is an opportunity for both of us to ensure that we are aligned in our approach before we begin our work together.
If you are ready to take the next step, don’t hesitate to contact me. Together, we can start your journey toward healing and personal growth.
