Description

Kamma Art Therapy Kenridge

Kirstie Nel, owner of Kamma art therapy in Kenridge is an HPCSA-registered art therapist offering the following art therapy sessions:

Individual art therapy

Individual Art Therapy allows for an intimate, one-on-one space where clients receive undivided attention and time. The sessions are 60min long and take place at the studio or online. They can help build trust and strengthen the therapeutic relationship between you and your art therapist to support your personal growth, goals, and needs.

Sessional and contracted work

Sessional and contracted therapy is ideal for schools, clinics, care facilities, NGOs, etc. Kirsty offers these sessions in studio and online.

– Art therapy groups

Group art therapy involves a small group of people meeting under the guidance of a professionally trained art therapist. Most group sessions are 60-90min. It starts with a brief check-in and reflective art-making. And ends with sharing and listening to each other’s stories and feedback. It can be an enriching and powerful addition to an organisation’s current program to support mental health needs.

– experiential workshops

Although experiential workshops can be therapeutic, it is not therapy. And it’s mostly suitable for larger groups. Art therapy techniques are generally used and these workshops usually have a specific theme.

The workshops can be personalised to meet specific goals or needs. And they are usually a once-off or a short series of workshops.
