Kristian Aquilina Consultant Paediatric Neurosurgeon GOSH London has served as a Consultant Paediatric Neurosurgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital since 2012. He also leads neuro-oncology surgery at the hospital and holds an honorary senior lectureship at the UCL Institute of Child Health. His research on hydrocephalus in premature infants earned him an MD from the University of Bristol. He also completed a fellowship in paediatric neuro‑oncology at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis

He remains active in research and education. His interests include clinical outcomes in brain tumours, intraventricular haemorrhage, and long-term outcomes of selective dorsal rhizotomy. He also mentors neurosurgical trainees and fellows. Additionally, he serves as co‑chair of the European Society for Paediatric Neuro‑Oncology’s neurosurgical group and contributes to training and examination standards in the UK.
