Lisa Davies Consultant Psychiatrist London is passionate about supporting young people and their families during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. She delivers high-quality, patient-centred, and evidence-based care. From the initial consultation, she adopts a holistic approach to emotional and behavioural challenges. Furthermore, as a mother, she truly understands how emotionally overwhelming and practically challenging it can be to access timely, effective mental health support for children.
Her care philosophy is grounded in empathy and clinical expertise. Not only does she listen carefully to each individual’s story, but she also tailors interventions to support long-term wellbeing. Additionally, Lisa enjoys music and sport, which she believes are vital components of emotional resilience and good mental health.
As a solo private outpatient practitioner, Lisa offers in-person assessments and, where appropriate, online follow-up appointments. However, she may not be the right fit if a young person presents with high risk or complexity requiring more intensive or multidisciplinary care. In these cases, she ensures that families receive guidance to seek appropriate support via their GP.
To avoid delays or unmet needs, referrals must include all relevant information. This enables Lisa to make an informed decision before offering an initial assessment. Her goal is always to ensure that young people receive the right care, from the right service, at the right time.
Since September 2022, Dr. Lisa Davies has worked as a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist at Priory Hospital Roehampton. She provides outpatient assessments and psychiatric reviews, contributing to a seamless and high-quality CAMHS service. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, she strives to meet the unique needs of every young person she sees.
Originally from South Africa, Lisa moved to the UK in 2001 and completed her psychiatry training at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). She later pursued specialist training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at South West London and St George’s NHS Trust.
Between 2008 and 2022, Lisa served as a community CAMHS consultant across Merton and Kingston. Her NHS roles included emergency assessments, psychiatric consultations, medication management, and clinical supervision. She worked closely with schools, GPs, social workers, and fellow mental health professionals.
Lisa was an honorary registrar at St George’s Hospital’s neurology department between 2006 and 2009. She contributed to research at the Tourette’s Disorder Clinic and continues to hold a special interest in tic disorders. Her academic contributions enhance her clinical perspective, especially in complex cases.
Lisa Davies Consultant Psychiatrist London continues her professional development through the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She participates in peer review and personal development planning (PDP) groups and undergoes annual appraisals. Her dedication to lifelong learning reflects her ongoing commitment to clinical excellence.
