Clinical Psychologist Slough
- Slough, UK
I, Lynette Roux Clinical Psychologist Benoni, have been a registered Clinical Psychologist since 1986. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience working with adults, couples, families, adolescents, and children. Currently, I focus primarily on psycho-legal and forensic work, which has become my main area of expertise. I assist clients in various legal matters, helping them navigate complex situations and providing professional support.
In my practice, I handle psycho-legal work, such as conducting residency and contact assessments and evaluating abuse cases. Additionally, I offer expert testimony in courts across South Africa, including Magistrate, Regional, Children’s Court, and High Court matters. I also contribute to international cases, providing investigation reports and testifying in courtrooms abroad. As an accredited mediator, I play a critical role in resolving family law disputes, drafting parenting plans, and addressing medico-legal conflicts. Through my mediation skills, I guide families through challenging situations with the goal of fostering resolution and understanding.
I regularly accept appointments from the High Court to serve as a Parenting Coordinator. In this role, I work closely with families in conflict, offering valuable guidance to ensure the welfare of children remains the central focus. Moreover, my contributions to the South African Law Reform Commission in 2016 helped shape legislation on mediation and parenting coordination. This involvement further reinforces my dedication to enhancing the legal landscape and improving how we approach family conflict resolution.
Although my work in psycho-legal and forensic areas is the core of my practice, I continue to provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. I work with clients to address a wide range of emotional and personal challenges, helping them find healing and growth. Additionally, I offer supervision and training to other professionals in the field of psychology. This ensures I remain at the forefront of the latest advancements and share my knowledge with others in the industry.
In addition to my clinical work, I also lecture part-time to Psychology Masters students at North West University. This role allows me to pass on my knowledge and experiences to future psychologists, ensuring they are well-prepared to make a meaningful impact in the field. At the same time, I stay engaged with the latest developments, integrating them into my practice to benefit my clients.
Through all these experiences, I remain committed to delivering high-quality psycho-legal and psychological services. I approach each case with dedication and a focus on the individual needs of every client. Whether you require expert testimony, family law mediation, or psychological therapy, my practice is here to support you.
