Maans Lintvelt Physiotherapist Paarl holds a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Stellenbosch (2015). He further advanced his skills with a Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (2018) and Dry Needling Levels 1 and 2. Additionally, he earned an ETA NQF Level 5 Sports Massage certification in 2015. His extensive training enables him to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions effectively.
Maans joined Franschhoek Physiotherapy and Associates in 2017. His dedication to the community led to the launch of the Physiotherapy on Farms project, which provides essential care to local farmworkers. In 2018, he expanded his expertise by completing training in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy and Dry Needling. That same year, he also celebrated a personal milestone—his wedding!
In 2019, he took a major step forward and became co-owner of the practice alongside Bronwen Talbot. Currently, he is furthering his expertise by pursuing a Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy at the University of Cape Town. His continuous learning ensures that his patients receive the latest evidence-based treatments.
Maans has always been passionate about staying active. He played rugby at school and university but later transitioned to triathlons. In 2022, he completed his first half Ironman, demonstrating his commitment to endurance sports.
As an avid trail runner and hiker, he understands the physical demands of sports. This firsthand experience allows him to apply effective rehabilitation techniques to both professional and recreational athletes. His goal is to enhance performance, prevent injuries, and accelerate recovery.
Cycling is another area where Maans excels. Since 2015, he has managed international cycling teams at the Cape Epic mountain bike race. His role extends beyond physiotherapy. He provides sports massage, logistical support, and bicycle maintenance throughout the grueling multi-stage event. His expertise ensures that cyclists perform at their best while receiving top-tier care.
Beyond sports, Maans has extensive experience in hospital settings. Over the years, he has worked in multiple hospitals, providing chest physiotherapy and post-operative care. His hands-on approach helps patients recover efficiently while regaining strength and mobility.
With a strong background in physiotherapy, Maans Lintvelt Physiotherapist Paarl continues to serve his patients with dedication. Whether treating athletes, managing injuries, or aiding post-surgical recovery, he remains committed to optimal movement and wellness.
