Maria Ivanov Consultant Psychiatrist London brings over 20 years of clinical expertise in treating a broad spectrum of mental health conditions. Dr. Ivanov’s career began in the NHS, where she dedicated 12 years to both inpatient and community psychiatric services. During this time, she developed deep clinical insight into complex and treatment-resistant cases.
She worked as an ECT consultant and held a senior leadership role as medical lead within a prominent NHS trust. Her work in psychiatric intensive care (PICU) for four years further solidified her ability to manage acute psychiatric crises with precision and empathy. Importantly, her NHS career helped shape her holistic and structured approach to psychiatric care.
Currently, Dr. Ivanov serves as an inpatient consultant psychiatrist at Priory. In addition to her clinical role, she holds the position of medical director for two Priory hospitals. Her leadership extends beyond these roles, as she also chairs the Royal College of Psychiatrists Quality Networks for PICU Advisory Group.
