I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor based in Cardiff, offering a personalised approach to therapy. I hold a BSc Honours Degree in Systemic Counselling from the University of South Wales, along with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from Coleg Gwent. My therapeutic model integrates elements of humanistic, psychodynamic, relational, and cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT). This combination allows me to tailor my approach to suit the unique needs of each individual.
As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere strictly to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism. I also hold an enhanced DBS certificate and full indemnity insurance. To ensure my continuous development, I receive regular supervision, which supports both my personal and professional growth.
I offer a wide range of counselling services to help clients address various emotional and mental health challenges. My aim is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their issues and work towards positive change.
I provide therapy for individuals struggling with anxiety and stress, which can often feel overwhelming and debilitating. Through a combination of therapeutic approaches, including CBT and humanistic techniques, I work with clients to understand the root causes of their anxiety and develop effective coping strategies.
Depression can be a challenging condition to navigate, often leading to feelings of hopelessness and despair. My therapy sessions focus on building self-awareness and helping clients manage their emotions. By addressing negative thought patterns and exploring underlying issues, I guide clients towards improved mental well-being.
Many individuals struggle with feelings of low self-worth and lack of confidence. I offer a supportive space to explore the factors contributing to these feelings and work with clients to rebuild their self-esteem. Through a combination of therapeutic techniques, clients can gain a more positive outlook and develop healthier self-perceptions.
I provide compassionate support for individuals who experience self-harm or suicidal thoughts. My approach aims to help clients understand the emotional pain driving these behaviours and find healthier ways of coping. Working together, we explore strategies to manage overwhelming feelings and prevent harmful actions.
Losing a loved one can be one of the most challenging experiences in life. I offer grief counselling to help individuals navigate the complex emotions associated with loss. Through a compassionate and empathetic approach, I support clients in processing their grief and finding ways to heal over time.
Whether you are experiencing difficulties in a romantic relationship, friendships, or family dynamics, I provide support to help improve communication and resolve conflicts. My therapy sessions focus on understanding the underlying issues, enhancing emotional connections, and fostering healthier relationships.
Life transitions, such as moving house, changing jobs, or experiencing major life events, can be unsettling. I work with clients to manage the stress and uncertainty that come with significant changes, helping them adapt and find balance during these periods of transition.
I offer a welcoming, confidential, and professional environment for all my clients. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I aim to ensure that you feel heard, understood, and supported throughout your journey. Whether you are seeking short-term guidance or longer-term support, I am here to help.
If you would like to explore any of the issues mentioned above or have any other concerns, please feel free to get in touch. We can discuss how best to proceed and determine whether we are a good fit for working together to make the changes you desire.
