Mark Jennings Integrative Therapist Birmingham offers personalised therapy tailored to individual needs. He draws on a wide range of approaches, depending on what clients bring to therapy and what suits them best. This flexible method ensures effective and meaningful support.
Mark uses various therapeutic techniques to help clients improve their mental health. For example, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) tackles unhelpful thinking patterns. Solution-focused therapy guides clients toward discovering their own goals and solutions. Additionally, transactional analysis (TA) enhances self-awareness and relationships. Interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) highlights how relationships affect wellbeing and explores ways to strengthen them.
Mark graduated from Coventry University with a BA in integrative counselling, combining theory and practical experience. During his studies, he practised individual and group therapy through placements. Furthermore, Mark holds certification in mental health first aid from MHFA England, which equips him to respond to crises confidently.
Moreover, Mark continuously updates his skills through professional development. His training includes ADHD understanding with the UK Adult ADHD Network, transactional analysis at Be All of You, and solution-focused therapy through the Association for Psychological Therapies. He also trained in interpersonal psychotherapy with the same association.
Mark offers more than just knowledge. He creates a safe space where clients feel heard and valued. This relationship forms the foundation of effective therapy. Since joining Priory in November 2023, Mark has consistently delivered compassionate, personalised care. He remains a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), demonstrating his commitment to professional standards.
Mark specialises in treating a range of mental health conditions. These include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, stress, self-harm, bereavement, adjustment disorder, and ADHD. He customises treatment plans to meet each client’s unique needs, ensuring the best chance of recovery.
