Melissa Cawood is an educational psychologist practicing in Benoni and Alberton, Gauteng. “I strive to explore the individual abilities of each client, and incorporating these abilities in dealing with the challenges experienced throughout life. Finding each client’s individual strengths and building on these strengths to help clients reach their full potential is what I aim to do. I have the privilege of practicing my passion every day, through the work I do.
My journey in becoming an educational psychologist began with completing a BA Psychology degree in 2007, after which I did an Honours Degree in Psychology. I then went on to complete a Post Graduate certificate in Education in 2011 followed by an Honours and Masters Degree in Educational Psychology. Prior to my career as an educational psychologist, I worked as a registered counsellor at a school for learners with a wide range of barriers to learning.
