Michela Poulter Physiotherapist Northcliff has a strong background in orthopaedic rehabilitation. She graduated cum laude with a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2008. During her community service at Kalafong in Atteridgeville, Michela’s passion for orthopaedic rehabilitation deepened.
After completing her community service, Michela joined her previous practice in 2010. Her commitment to improving patient outcomes led her to complete an intensive specialisation course in orthopaedic and manipulative therapy in 2011. This course enhanced her expertise and laid the foundation for her future successes. She has also completed numerous postgraduate courses in various therapeutic techniques. For instance, she holds certifications in dry needling and hydrotherapy. These courses ensure that she stays up to date with the latest advancements in treatment.
In 2014, Michela took a significant step in her career. She purchased the practice from the previous owner. Since then, she has worked tirelessly to provide a modern, fresh approach to the management of the practice. Despite these changes, Michela has always maintained a strong commitment to excellent patient service. This philosophy ensures that her patients receive the highest level of care. Moreover, Michela’s dedication to both personal and professional growth benefits every individual she treats.
Michela’s career extends beyond the clinic. In 2014, 2015, and 2016, she accompanied the Toyota South Africa team to the prestigious DAKAR rally as their physiotherapist and coordinator. This experience allowed her to work in a high-pressure, international setting. It further honed her skills and deepened her commitment to delivering quality physiotherapy care in any environment.
Outside of her professional life, Michela is an avid cyclist. She has competed in numerous mountain bike stage races across South Africa. This passion for cycling reflects her commitment to staying fit and healthy. She believes that her active lifestyle helps her connect with her patients and understand their rehabilitation needs more effectively.
Today, Michela Poulter Physiotherapist Northcliff remains dedicated to helping patients improve their mobility, relieve pain, and restore function. Whether treating injuries, managing chronic pain, or aiding recovery after surgery, she ensures each patient receives a tailored approach to meet their specific needs. With her wealth of experience and knowledge, Michela is committed to providing the best possible care.
