Mila Senem Leveson Consultant Psychiatrist London is a dedicated, highly experienced professional with a patient-centred approach. She currently works at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. Additionally, she offers private consultations at the Priory Wellbeing Centre on Harley Street and provides remote support to patients across the UK.
Dr Leveson believes in delivering care that treats the whole person. Her integrated and holistic style helps each patient receive tailored support that respects their unique needs. She combines an understanding of biological factors with each individual’s life circumstances. As a result, her patients often describe feeling deeply understood and supported.
Originally from Istanbul, Dr Leveson moved to the UK as a teenager. She earned her medical degree at the University of Cambridge in 2008. She then trained in internal medicine and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians. Shortly after, she joined St George’s Medical School as a Clinical Lecturer, focusing on the clinical education of medical students.
Eventually, she specialised in General Adult Psychiatry through Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. In 2015, she gained membership to the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Throughout her career, Dr Leveson has built strong expertise in managing complex psychiatric conditions. She has worked in acute inpatient settings and hospital liaison services, addressing urgent mental health needs. Additionally, she has treated individuals with personality disorders through mentalisation-based therapy at the Halliwick Unit.
She also has advanced training in diagnosing and treating adult ADHD and autism. Her interest includes how these conditions present in women. Moreover, she offers treatment-resistant depression care using repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS).
Dr Leveson is not only a clinician but also a leader in medical education. She serves as the academic and educational lead for psychiatric core trainees. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mental Health Research at University College London. In parallel, she writes medico-legal reports and holds training in both psychodynamic and forensic psychotherapy.
