Miranda Robinson Gynaecologist & Obstetrician Melbourne delivers compassionate, holistic healthcare to women across all life stages. With over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr Miranda Robinson blends expert knowledge with empathy and insight, shaped not only by her medical training but also by her personal journey as a mother. From the very first consultation, patients feel empowered, understood, and supported.
Dr Miranda Robinson began her career at Otago University in Dunedin, New Zealand. In 1994, she graduated with distinction, receiving the Obstetrics Prize. Motivated by a deep interest in women’s health, she moved to Australia in 1997. What was intended as a one-year stay soon became a permanent move. Her passion for the field grew stronger with every patient she treated.
In 1999, Dr Robinson commenced her Obstetrics training at Monash Medical Centre. She broadened her expertise through rotations at major hospitals, including Bendigo and Box Hill. In 2004, she trained overseas at a high-volume county hospital in Norwich, UK. During this time, she developed strong surgical skills in gynaecology. Her efforts were recognised when she topped her specialist exams and earned the prestigious Gold Medal for Excellence from RANZCOG.
Until recently, Dr Robinson served as the Head of the Emergency Department at the Mercy Hospital for Women. Her leadership ensured high-quality care during critical moments. She believes in real patient choice and evidence-based practices. Whether supporting twins, breech births, VBACs, or maternal-choice caesareans, she provides non-judgemental, informed support.
Miranda treats a variety of gynaecological conditions. She helps patients manage painful periods, early endometriosis, pelvic and sexual pain, menopause symptoms, and abnormal cervical screening results. She also offers advice on contraception and future pregnancy planning.
Outside her professional life, Miranda enjoys running, cycling, and spending time with her two children. Her home is also shared with an ever-growing collection of pets. Her ability to balance life and work enhances her understanding of her patients’ needs.
