Mogdad Alrawi Consultant Plastic Surgeon Newcastle has over 20 years of experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He began his career in Dublin in 2000 and earned Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. In 2003, he completed an MSc and Diploma in Surgery at Imperial College London. That same year, he joined the Newcastle Trust and advanced through the Plastic Surgery National Training Programme. His training ended with a prestigious Fellowship in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery in Sheffield NHS and private hospitals.

Expert Qualifications and Professional Recognition

Mr. Alrawi is a dual-certified Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in both the UK and Ireland. He is also a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS). Since 2012, he has served as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon. In addition, he is a full member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

As a core member of the Specialist Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team, Mr. Alrawi is the surgical lead for the melanoma service. He developed the Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy (SLNB) service for melanoma at the Newcastle Trust. Since 2015, this service has been available to patients across the North East of England.
