MOVE&IMPROVE St Albans

About

MOVE&IMPROVE St Albans is a specialist physiotherapy clinic co-founded by Kate Montgomery and Dionne Ryder, both highly experienced and dedicated physiotherapists. Kate qualified in 1987 and has been practising ever since, achieving membership of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) in 1991. She founded MOVE&IMPROVE in 2003 and also serves as a visiting senior lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire. For Kate, success means helping patients regain full strength and return to a normal life, empowering them to manage their conditions confidently and prevent recurrence.

Dionne Ryder, a physiotherapist since 1989, brings further expertise to the clinic. She completed an MSc in Manipulative Therapy and earned MACP membership in 1995. Dionne has extensive clinical and managerial experience, including working with a Division 1 rugby team where she managed acute sports injuries and rehabilitation. Her background also includes teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy students at the University of Hertfordshire. Today, Dionne dedicates her time fully to clinical work at MOVE&IMPROVE, combining current clinical knowledge with hands-on care. She values the privilege of one-to-one work with patients, aiming to empower them to reclaim the activities that matter most in their lives.
