Naresh Rasquinha Consultant Psychiatrist Kent provides compassionate, patient-centred mental health care at the Priory Wellbeing Centre in Canterbury. Dr Rasquinha brings decades of clinical expertise to the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of psychiatric conditions. His work focuses on achieving meaningful recovery through individualised, evidence-based care.
Dr Naresh Rasquinha has worked across a variety of mental health services. These include psychiatric intensive care units (PICUs), acute wards, low and medium security settings, and rehabilitation environments. He has contributed to nationally recognised services such as the National Psychosis Service, ADHD Service, and Addictions Service at the Maudsley Hospital.
He treats a wide spectrum of conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, psychosis, ADHD, addictions, and personality disorders. His detailed assessments and tailored treatment plans ensure each patient receives highly personalised care. Furthermore, his approach integrates biological, psychological, and social models to promote lasting recovery.
Dr Rasquinha has held various senior roles in healthcare organisations since 2016. These include Medical Director, Caldicott Guardian, and leads for corporate physical health, suicide prevention, and clinical audits. His leadership has consistently contributed to improving patient safety, clinical outcomes, and quality of care.
Additionally, he has served as a medical appraiser and advisor, sharing his expertise to improve standards within mental health services across the UK.
His commitment to professional development is evident in his longstanding involvement with the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He has held numerous roles including faculty executive member, examiner, deputy chair of the QNWA accreditation committee, and mentoring lead. These roles reflect his dedication to education, mentorship, and raising clinical standards.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Dr Rasquinha was awarded a Fellowship (FRCPsych) by the Royal College in 2022.
Dr Rasquinha has been a visiting clinical researcher at the Institute of Psychiatry. He has authored articles in leading peer-reviewed journals and presented findings at major international conferences. His work has earned him accolades including the European Psychiatric Association Travel Grant.

Dr Rasquinha holds an MBBS from Kasturba Medical College (2004), MRCPsych (2010), Diploma in Mental Health Law (2013), and a Certificate of Completion of Training in General Psychiatry (2014). He speaks English and Hindi fluently.
