Description
Oostenbrink Clinical Psychologist – Strand
About
Jacob Oostenbrink, MA (Clinical Psychology), has been in private practice since 1998, offering professional psychological services with extensive experience across multiple sectors. His career began in Brackenfell, before relocating to Rustenburg, where he practised for 11 years. While his primary focus has always been clinical work, he was frequently engaged in consulting services within the mining industry. His work in this field included employee selection, substance abuse treatment, trauma counselling, and employee well-being initiatives.
In 2012, Jacob returned to the Western Cape, establishing his practice in Strand. As a registered clinical psychologist, he provides therapeutic services to high school learners (adolescents), adults, couples, and corporate clients. Having completed dual internships in consulting and clinical psychology, he is well-versed in both areas and offers a well-rounded perspective in his practice.
Before pursuing his Master’s degree, Jacob worked in the business sector for 12 years, gaining substantial experience in Human Resources. This background equips him with valuable insight into workplace psychology, making his expertise particularly beneficial for professionals and organisations.
His approach is client-centred, integrating therapeutic techniques tailored to individual needs, whether addressing personal challenges, relationship concerns, or workplace issues.
