About

PhysioPhilosophy is a creative and welcoming space dedicated to helping you recover, feel inspired, and most importantly, learn how to maintain a healthy, injury-free body. Founded in 2017 by Catriona Hopkins, the clinic reflects the best of her vast professional experience and passion for physiotherapy.

Catriona Hopkins, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, PGDip Sports and Exercise Medicine, MCSP, HCPC, is the founder and lead physiotherapist. She trained in Glasgow, her hometown, earning her degree in 1995. Over the years, Catriona has gained extensive experience working across the UK in a variety of healthcare settings, including the NHS, private practice, the Armed Forces, and performance sport. Her work is grounded in research and evidence-based practice, with special expertise in musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries, and rehabilitation.

From 2001 to 2016, Catriona worked as a Ministry of Defence physiotherapist. She supported injured military personnel, helping them return to full fitness and sport. She also spent time in Belgium establishing physiotherapy services for military personnel across Europe. After moving to Herefordshire in 2016, Catriona founded PhysioPhilosophy to provide tailored physiotherapy services in a supportive environment.

PhysioPhilosophy welcomes clients from all backgrounds in an inclusive, non-discriminatory manner. The clinic actively promotes respect, dignity, and equality in line with the Equality Act 2010, and encourages open communication to remove any barriers that might hinder access to care.

Catriona has a strong interest in working with children and young adults. She is committed to inspiring and empowering younger generations to stay strong and healthy. She works closely with Hereford Cathedral School, providing physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and pitch-side support for pupils. This partnership allows seamless collaboration with the school’s medical and coaching staff.
