Russell Dennis Physiotherapy offers specialist care in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and sports injury treatment, led by practice owner Russell Dennis. With over 25 years of hands-on experience in strength sports—including powerlifting and bodybuilding—Russell brings a deeply personal and practical understanding of injury prevention and recovery.
His journey into physiotherapy began after facing several sports-related injuries, including rotator cuff tears and patellar tendonitis. The success of his own treatment sparked a passion for the profession. He first trained in remedial massage therapy in 1998 through the Scottish Massage Therapy Association and began working with athletes in rugby, bodybuilding, and combat sports.
Eager to deepen his understanding, Russell pursued a Human Biology degree at Loughborough University, followed by a Physiotherapy degree at Coventry University. These academic achievements laid the foundation for a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to patient care.
Since qualifying, Russell has worked across a wide range of environments—orthopaedic clinics, outpatient departments, soft tissue injury centres, and sports therapy units—both in the public and private sectors. His varied experience has helped him build a practice grounded in clinical expertise and tailored, results-driven treatments.
