He brings over four decades of experience in adult cardiology, specialising in arrhythmia, hypertension, and coronary artery disease. Dr. Rodney Foale graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne in 1971. He began his clinical journey at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, and extended his expertise by working in rural Madras and Kashmir. His global experience didn’t stop there. He underwent extensive training in the UK, including posts at the Hammersmith and Royal London Hospitals, and later at the National Heart Hospital.
After gaining further experience at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Dr. Foale returned to London as Senior Registrar at the Hammersmith Hospital. In 1985, he became Consultant Cardiologist at St Mary’s Hospital. His role expanded quickly. He later served as Clinical Director of Surgery, overseeing Cardiovascular Medicine and Intensive Care. Today, he also co-directs the International Centre for Circulatory Health, affiliated with Imperial College London.
