About Us

CancerCare is a trusted provider of integrated oncology care, operating across the Western and Eastern Cape of South Africa. Founded in 1989 by Dr Leon Gouws as GVI Oncology, we have pioneered advancements in cancer treatment. Initially opening our first unit in Cape Town, we now have a network of nine centres dedicated to providing excellent care.

Cancer Treatments

We offer access to clinical trials, which provide patients with the chance to benefit from the latest cancer treatments. These trials are available at our centres in George, Port Elizabeth, and Cape Town. Patients can participate in groundbreaking research at reduced costs, which can improve their chances of recovery.
