About Rosemarie Savage

If you are struggling with bereavement, anxiety, trauma, or stress, Rosemarie Savage offers compassionate support to help you not just cope but truly thrive. She is an integrative counsellor based in Canterbury who combines a person-centred approach with specialised therapies tailored to your needs. Rosemarie believes in working together to raise your self-esteem and confidence so that you feel seen and heard, rather than invisible.

With extensive experience supporting people through life’s challenges, Rosemarie uses Polyvagal Therapy to address trauma, stress, and anxiety. For those facing grief and loss, she employs the “Growing Your Life Around Grief” approach, focusing on understanding how past experiences influence present emotions and behaviours. At the same time, she emphasises staying present to develop practical coping strategies.

Services

Rosemarie offers a variety of counselling options to suit different preferences and needs:

  • Individual Counselling (face-to-face, online via Zoom, or telephone) at £35 per session.

  • Couples Counselling (online via Zoom) priced at £40 per session.

  • Outdoor Therapy — a unique offering combining counselling with the benefits of being outdoors. This option, available across South Kent, Canterbury, Rye, and surrounding East Sussex villages, costs between £40 and £50 per session depending on location.

Outdoor Therapy aims to enhance well-being by encouraging relaxation, improving sleep, boosting energy, and supporting the brain’s ability to rewire itself to better manage stress and trauma. Alongside her counselling expertise, Rosemarie has trained extensively in anxiety disorders, trauma, mindfulness, Polyvagal Therapy, couples counselling, and outdoor therapy.

Her previous work includes an NHS placement focusing on chronic ill health and associated losses, as well as volunteering with CRUSE Bereavement Support and the Samaritans for eight years.
