Sandrina Haeck Clinical Psychologist in Fourways
Dr. Haeck, with qualifications from Medunsa (Hons), NWU (MSc Clin Psych), and currently enrolled in a PhD program with SSA, follows a Systemic therapeutic intervention approach. This comprehensive approach addresses the whole system rather than focusing on individual parts. Dr. Haeck’s perspective challenges the general trends in the mental health industry, aiming to mobilise individuals to be more effective and resourceful, rather than keeping them in perpetual therapy.
Having undergone extensive training at Weskoppies Psychiatric Institute, Dr. George Mukhari Hospital, Central Maximum C-Max security prison, and SANCA West Rand, Dr. Haeck is fully qualified to address systemic issues at every level. In her practice, she focuses on the role each family member plays in sustaining problems, particularly those revolving around a “target patient” or “Problem Child.”
Dr. Haeck offers various therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of individuals and their systems. Her practice addresses crisis cases daily from 07:00 to 09:00 at hospitals and clinics in the Gauteng area. Furthermore, she consults from her office at 37 Penguine Drive, Fourways, 2055, and is available for consultations Monday to Thursday from 10:00 to 19:00.
Dr. Haeck also offers telephonic consultations for clients abroad or those unable to attend in-person sessions after the initial consultation.
Dr. Haeck is a registered member of the Health Professions Council, the Psychological Society of South Africa, the South African School of Psychotherapy, IITAP, SASHA, The Wellness Institute, and MEISA. She is committed to providing dynamic, solution-focused therapy to assist individuals and families in improving their interactions and overall mental health.
