Sean’s Counselling Practice MNCPS – Shipley

About Me

Welcome to Sean’s Counselling Practice, based in Shipley. My name is Sean, and I am a qualified person-centred therapist accredited by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). With over 11 years of experience supporting people with mental health difficulties, I have worked with both adults and young people facing a wide range of emotional challenges.

Life, as we know, can present many obstacles. Sometimes, sharing these difficulties with a skilled and compassionate listener can bring clarity and relief. However, I fully understand that reaching out for support is not always easy. That is why I offer a warm, friendly, and non-judgemental environment where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and life experiences.

I provide both short-term and long-term therapy, always placing your needs at the centre of our work together. Therapy is a personal journey, and I respect that everyone’s pace is different. Therefore, you are in control of how long the therapy lasts. Regular reviews of our sessions will ensure we stay focused on your goals and well-being.

Currently, I offer flexible appointments, including face-to-face sessions, online counselling, and telephone support. This allows you to choose the format that best suits your circumstances and comfort level.

As an accredited NCPS member, I work within their ethical guidelines. I attend regular supervision sessions and engage in continuous professional development to maintain a high standard of practice.

My Services

Counselling Tailored to Your Needs

Counselling provides a safe, confidential space where you can talk freely about your problems, knowing that you will be met with empathy, respect, and understanding. My role is to listen attentively and support you without judgement or criticism.

In my counselling practice, I offer a person-centred approach. This form of therapy places you firmly at the heart of the process. Unlike other therapeutic methods, person-centred therapy enables you to explore your thoughts and emotions without unnecessary interruption or direction from the therapist. This allows for a deeper understanding of your feelings and helps foster self-acceptance and growth.

Flexible Therapy Options

Recognising that everyone has different needs and preferences, I offer counselling in a variety of settings:

  • Face-to-face counselling in a safe and private environment in Shipley.

  • Online counselling for those who prefer remote support.

  • Telephone counselling for convenient access to therapy from any location.

No matter the setting, my aim is to provide a consistent, supportive, and comfortable space for you to explore your emotions and experiences.
