Self Physiotherapy is a welcoming clinic in Adelaide that focuses on pelvic and reproductive health. It was founded by Nawal Church (she/her), a physiotherapist with more than 11 years of experience. After having her first child, Nawal developed a strong interest in pelvic health and began specialising in this area.
Nawal holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, a Bachelor of Science (Honours), and a degree in Forensic and Analytical Chemistry. Her strong academic background supports her hands-on, patient-focused approach. She started Self Physiotherapy to offer care for people with low pelvic health literacy, including those who may not have access to information or support elsewhere.
We provide inclusive, respectful and evidence-based physiotherapy. Our aim is to help clients better understand their bodies and take charge of their health with confidence.
We offer a wide range of services tailored to each person’s needs. Whether you are pregnant, recovering from birth, or living with a long-term pelvic issue, our treatments are built around you.
Our services include:
Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy
Support for bladder control, prolapse, pelvic pain and muscle coordination.
Antenatal and Postnatal Care
Help with back pain, abdominal separation, and post-birth recovery.
Support for Gynaecological Conditions
Relief from menstrual pain, endometriosis, and recovery after surgery.
Education and Empowerment
We explain your condition clearly and give you the tools to manage it.
We believe that informed care leads to better outcomes. That’s why every appointment includes time to ask questions and understand your treatment options. Nawal also works at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where she supports patients with complex gynaecological needs. This additional experience helps her provide well-rounded, holistic care.
At Self Physiotherapy, we care for people of all genders, backgrounds and ages. We believe everyone deserves access to respectful and high-quality care. If you’ve been living with pain or discomfort, or if you just want to understand your body better, we’re here to support you.
We work closely with other health professionals and stay up to date with the latest research. Our goal is to help you feel strong, confident and well—in your body and in your life.
