Sheetal Sirohi Consultant Psychiatrist Surrey has extensive experience in managing complex mental health needs. Since 2012, Dr Sheetal Sirohi has worked in diverse NHS consultant psychiatrist roles, offering comprehensive care across inpatient units, home treatment teams, community settings, and psychiatric liaison services. She has also served in assertive outreach and forensic psychiatry, including prison and community forensic teams.
In 2017, she transitioned exclusively to private practice. This move allowed her to deliver more tailored psychiatric care while continuing to innovate in mental health.
Dr Sirohi’s passion for quality mental health care has led her to explore new frontiers. She created virtual patients and developed training films for psychotherapy and risk assessment. Additionally, she contributed to the Suicide Prevention Strategy for Surrey and actively promotes digital safety awareness—especially the impact of the internet on mental health, often referred to as “Digital Risk.”
Through video presentations and online platforms, she educates the public and professionals alike.
Engagement remains central to Dr Sirohi’s mission. Her contribution to the Royal College Public Education Committee and supports public mental health awareness efforts, including the Happy Soul Festival, an initiative aimed at enhancing mental health understanding in Afro-Caribbean and Asian communities. She collaborates with mental health charities such as MIND to further this cause.
She also continues to speak at GP education events and mentors young psychiatrists. Her role in teaching and public education showcases her dedication beyond clinical work.
Dr Sheetal Sirohi serves as a general adult consultant psychiatrist at Priory Hospital Woking, a role she has held since 2014. She provides expert treatment for a range of adult psychiatric conditions and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Dr Sirohi earned her MBBS from the University of Pune and later completed MRCPsych in London. She trained with St George’s NHS Trust and Surrey and Borders Partnership. She held research positions at St George’s University of London and the Institute of Psychiatry, London, and served as a sub-investigator for the EULAST antipsychotic study.
