During his early career, he completed an MSc, focusing on day-case haemorrhoidal surgery.

He earned the MRCS England and joined the South East Thames Higher Surgical Training Rotation. After several years in the Maidstone area, he transferred to Wessex, gaining further experience at centres like the Pelican Cancer Foundation.
