ABOUT US

Sisters Incorporated plays a critical role in protecting, supporting, and empowering women and their children who are survivors of domestic violence, abuse, and stigmatisation, which is prevalent and widespread in our communities.

With a history spanning over 60 years in Cape Town, Sisters Incorporated has evolved from being a refuge for single mothers into a safe haven caring for women and their children. We provide care free of judgement, criticism, and bias, aspiring to empower those who pass through our doors to become better equipped for their role in society.

SERVICES

Safe Haven and Support

We offer a secure and nurturing environment where women and their children can find refuge from dangerous and abusive situations. Our care is holistic, ensuring emotional, psychological, and physical well-being.

Skills Training and Personal Development

Skills training is an integral part of our therapeutic programme. Through intentional creative activities and reflection, our residents increase personal capacity to recognise their own abilities, strengths, and potential. These activities also help in setting goal-directed action, which positively impacts their personal healing process. Our programme equips women with the tools to build a self-sustaining future.

International Partnerships and Collaborations

The establishment of a resource centre through this collaboration offers new opportunities for learning and growth. Kim Palmer expressed gratitude for the chance to contribute to changing lives and spreading hope for a better future.
  • Good Hope Volunteers and Good Hope Studies Good Hope Volunteers (GHV) and Good Hope Studies (GHS) are dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities and uplifting those in need.
