Spire Injury Clinic Salisbury is led by Alex Bance, a highly experienced practitioner who has been treating people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds in Salisbury for the past nine years. Alex’s diverse life experiences include thirteen years serving in the Infantry and working as a tree surgeon. These physically demanding roles, combined with a lifelong passion for sport and physical activity, have inspired his commitment to injury prevention and rehabilitation.
Alex remains an active athlete, regularly running between 30 and 60 miles a week. He has completed numerous ultra-distance races, including 50 to 100km events and 24-hour endurance challenges. Notably, Alex holds the world record for the longest distance run in 24 hours while wearing a blindfold. He is the only person to complete a 24-hour ultra run while both deaf and blind. Even now, Alex continues to compete in 100-mile races, demonstrating his dedication to physical fitness and endurance.
Committed to lifelong learning, Alex has never stopped expanding his knowledge and skills since opening the clinic. He continuously enrols on courses to enhance the quality of care he offers. His extensive training ensures that Spire Injury Clinic stays at the forefront of sports therapy and injury treatment.
Alex is a respected member of the Sports Therapy Association and holds a BTEC Level 6 in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage. He is a certified Bodymaster Method practitioner, trained in Video Running Analysis and Human Movement Specialist techniques. Additionally, Alex is a qualified personal trainer through the Brookbush Institute for Human Movement Science and has received training in Spinal Manipulation under OMT. He has completed numerous other short courses to broaden his expertise further.
