Sue Fox Psychosynthesis Psychotherapist London – My Journey and Practice

Sue Fox Psychosynthesis Psychotherapist London is a title that encapsulates my lifelong dedication to psychotherapy. With over 25 years of experience, my journey began with volunteering in the field of addiction. I apprenticed as an Addiction Counsellor, working closely with both individuals and families in residential centres. That foundation set the tone for my commitment to transformational healing.

My Psychosynthesis Roots and Ongoing Training

I trained at the Institute of Psychosynthesis, where I graduated and gained accreditation in 1994. Since then, I have pursued several postgraduate trainings. I actively engage in professional development to stay aligned with the latest research and therapeutic practices. This dedication keeps my work both relevant and deeply connected to the core of psychosynthesis.

Sue Fox Psychosynthesis Psychotherapist London and Relational Trauma

About seven years ago, my focus shifted toward the evolving field of relational trauma and neuroscience. Brain imaging studies highlighted the effectiveness of mindfulness, yoga, and somatic practices in trauma healing. These approaches don’t just ease trauma responses; they nurture presence. I have now woven these insights into every aspect of my therapeutic work.

A Jungian and Psychosynthesis Perspective

Jung’s ideas remain a steady guide in my work. His exploration of the unconscious, the symbolic language of myths, and archetypes resonate strongly with me. They bring depth and richness to the therapeutic process. Simultaneously, Roberto Assagioli’s psychosynthesis serves as my grounding framework, providing structure and inspiration.

Collaborative and Community-Based Work with Sue Fox Psychosynthesis Psychotherapist London

I co-founded the Wellspring group to promote the teachings of Roberto Assagioli. Our events are open to anyone interested in psychosynthesis, aiming to make it more accessible and widely known.

Additionally, I am part of StepInAsap, a collective focused on the complexities of step-families. We support individuals and couples in navigating these challenges with care and compassion.

Expanding Into Shamanic Integration and Teaching

Recently, I have integrated shamanic journeying into my practice. I work with people who wish to process plant medicine experiences and co-facilitate Soul Retrieval workshops specifically for therapeutic professionals. These experiences enrich my work with deeper spiritual insights.

Teaching and Leadership Roles

For two decades, I served on the faculty at the Institute of Psychosynthesis. I taught, supervised, and led group work. Today, I continue to teach “Addiction and the Search for Self,” which presents a transpersonal lens on addiction.

I also serve as a board member at The Psychosynthesis Trust and maintain a private practice in North West London. I am accredited with UKCP, and registered as a supervisor. My memberships include CAP, PCU, and the Institute of Psychosynthesis in Florence.
