Chaeli and Erin Mycroft, along with their lifelong friends Tarryn, Justine, and Chelsea Terry, began a fundraising initiative to raise R20,000 for Chaeli’s motorised wheelchair. In just seven weeks, they achieved their goal by selling handmade cards featuring their artwork and Sunshine Pots, which were DIY miniature pot plants.
This collaborative spirit continues to be the foundation of all The Chaeli Campaign’s programmes.
Our vision is to mobilise the minds and bodies of children with disabilities while working to create a more inclusive society through advocacy, education, and community-driven initiatives.
We are committed to promoting and providing mobility aids and educational resources to children with disabilities. Ensuring access to the right support and tools is essential for their development and independence.
The Chaeli Campaign champions a more ability-focused world by advocating for the rights of children with disabilities. We raise awareness about inclusion and work towards normalising disability in society through various educational programmes and events.
We believe in the power of collaboration. By working alongside other organisations, we aim to further the advancement of the disabled community. We offer our facilities and resources to assist in any way possible, ensuring a collective effort to improve accessibility and inclusion.
Beyond direct support, The Chaeli Campaign acts as a facilitator for other centres, organisations, and communities. We provide guidance, training, and resources to enhance the effectiveness of disability-focused initiatives.
The Chaeli Campaign operates with a core mission aligned with its slogan: ‘For Kids Like Chaeli’.
Support from individuals and organisations is essential in furthering our mission. Whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading awareness, every effort contributes to building a more inclusive society.
