The Open Door Crisis Care Centre offers comprehensive counselling, social, and support services to individuals and families in need within the Pinetown area. Our goal is to help clients heal from trauma, overcome life’s challenges, and restore mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Services
Counselling, Social and Support Services
We provide counselling for men, women, and children facing individual, family, work, or school-related issues. This includes support for grief, loss, addiction, and domestic challenges. Our services are delivered by professional staff, including social workers, psychologists, and counsellors.
Play Therapy for Children
Specialised therapy for traumatised children, including those who have experienced abuse, loss, and family dysfunction. Play therapy uses art, storytelling, puppetry, and more to help children heal emotionally and regain their sense of security.
Victims Empowerment Programme
We offer immediate and ongoing support for victims of trauma, such as sexual abuse, domestic violence, accidents, and sudden death. Our trained team provides crisis intervention, accompaniment to medical facilities, and continued counselling and support.
Outreach Services
With satellite offices in Hammersdale and Kwa Nyuswa, we offer community support, including psychosocial services and educational talks. Topics include human trafficking, domestic violence, child abuse, and mental health.
Additional Information
While many services are provided free of charge, we do appreciate any small donations to help cover operational costs. The Open Door Crisis Care Centre is committed to offering a safe, healing space for those in need.
