About

Therapy NI provides expert Clinical Psychology services from a professional, approachable team based in Belfast. With extensive NHS backgrounds and specialist experience, Therapy NI offers psychological assessment and therapy to children, young people, and adults.

Therapy NI is registered with both the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), ensuring that all work adheres to the highest professional standards. The practice is led by two highly experienced Clinical Psychologists – Chrissie and Stephen – who bring decades of expertise from working within the NHS before transitioning to private practice.

About Chrissie

Chrissie is a qualified Clinical Psychologist with almost 20 years of professional experience. For 15 of these years, she worked within NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), offering specialist assessment and therapeutic support to children, teenagers, and families dealing with a wide range of complex mental health and developmental challenges. Chrissie has been working exclusively in private practice since 2021 and works with children, adolescents, and adult clients.

About Stephen

Stephen brings over 30 years of clinical experience working within NHS Adult Mental Health Services in both England and Northern Ireland. He served as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Team Leader for over 20 years in the South Eastern Trust area. For six of those years, he held the role of Assistant Head of Psychology & Psychological Therapy Services. Stephen retired from the NHS in 2024 and began private practice in 2025, working with adult clients.
