Description

About

The Tygerberg Art Centre is a prominent educational institution in the Western Cape, dedicated to fostering creativity among young learners. Established in 1975, the Centre was initially located at the Hugo Lambrechts Music Centre. After a fire incident, it was relocated to the historic Tygerberg High School premises, merging with the old “Education Centre.” Positioned in a convenient McIntyre Street location, the Centre has been a hub for artistic education for nearly five decades. The first headmaster, Mr. André Groenewald, set a strong foundation, followed by two interim principals until a permanent principal was appointed.
