Vela Robinson Therapeutic Counsellor Kent offers a compassionate, confidential, and non-judgemental space for adults to explore issues related to trauma, self-esteem, and personal meaning. From the very first session, clients feel supported to move toward emotional well-being. Through consistent therapeutic work, Vela helps individuals access healthier and more integrated versions of themselves. As a result, they begin to move forward with renewed clarity and strength.
With specialist training and hands-on experience in trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), domestic abuse, and sexual violence, Vela brings deep expertise to the counselling space. She also works effectively with individuals experiencing bereavement, work-related stress, relationship challenges, and those living with a personality disorder diagnosis. Because healing is deeply personal, Vela adapts her support to meet each client exactly where they are.
Vela places the therapeutic relationship at the heart of her work. It’s not just about techniques—it’s about connection. That’s why she listens with intention, creating a space where clients feel seen and heard. This relational depth significantly improves clinical outcomes and fosters long-term emotional resilience. Furthermore, Vela’s approach is both intuitive and grounded in evidence-based methods.
Vela uses a range of therapeutic modalities, including Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. These methods are not applied rigidly; rather, Vela develops a tailored treatment plan that reflects each person’s needs. Since no two individuals are the same, therapy sessions are always personalised and dynamic.
Vela holds a Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling from Community Counsellor Training in Canterbury. She is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Her role as an integrative therapist at Priory reflects her commitment to high-quality, ethical practice.
Additionally, she holds certifications in trauma treatment, online therapy, and rape and sexual abuse counselling. Vela continues to grow her skills with research interests focused on somatic therapies and polyvagal theory—tools proven to support trauma recovery.
Whether clients are managing anxiety, ADHD, autism, bipolar disorder, depression, or gender dysphoria, Vela offers focused, supportive care. She also supports clients with adjustment disorders, anger issues, BDD, and medically unexplained symptoms (MUS). Each therapeutic journey is unique, yet every path is grounded in respect, safety, and clinical excellence.
