I banged my fists against the door,
“Make it stop!” I shouted, my voice raw.
The ache in my chest so deep, I feel hollow,
Another day of dragging pain I’m forced to swallow.
Fuck it — I can’t even sleep.
Today, yesterday, tomorrow — they all take their share,
This one, that one — it’s too much to bear.
The people, the things pulling me thin,
I can’t do this anymore, don’t even know where to begin.
It’s no fun — just running on empty and pain,
All this weight, again and again.
