About Dr PL Cilliers – Psychiatrist in Oranjezicht

Dr Pieter L. Cilliers is an experienced psychiatrist based in Oranjezicht, specialising in general adult psychiatry. His primary focus is psychopharmacology (psychiatric medications) and psychotherapy, with a particular emphasis on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Dr Cilliers has a special interest in anxiety and mood disorders, including Bipolar Mood Disorder, as well as adult Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Dr Cilliers holds an MBChB from Stellenbosch University, with a distinction in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He also obtained a diploma in anaesthetics and specialised as a family physician. After practising for many years as a family physician, he specialised in psychiatry at the University of Cape Town, earning his Fellowship from the College of Psychiatrists (FC Psych).
