Angela Evans Psychotherapist Devon brings warmth, expertise, and a wealth of experience to her work. She has worked with children, families, couples, and individuals for more than two decades. Over 14 of those years included service within the NHS, supporting children and young people through Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). She studied at the Institute of Family Therapy in London and later moved to Devon in 2017.
Throughout her career, Angela has worked across several CAMHS teams nationwide. She has supported families facing eating disorders, OCD, depression, trauma, and anxiety. She also helps with relationship challenges and many other concerns. Because she trains in a range of therapeutic approaches, Angela tailors her methods to each unique situation. This flexibility ensures every person or family finds a path that feels constructive and supportive.
Angela also offers a safe, non-judgmental space. She believes in building trust, fostering open conversations, and encouraging change. She sees therapy as a joint process. Together with clients, she explores challenges while identifying strengths that nurture resilience and growth.
Angela works with families, parents, couples, and individuals. She places great importance on collaboration. Therapy sessions focus on practical ways forward, while also creating space for emotions and reflections. Because every client brings different needs, Angela adapts sessions to meet those goals. With her guidance, clients often discover new ways to connect, heal, and rebuild confidence.
Angela holds a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies with Psychology from Canterbury Christchurch University. She also gained a PGCE, a PGCert in Applied Systemic Theory, and a PGDip in Applied Systemic Practice from Tavistock & Portman. Later, she completed her MSc in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy at the Institute of Family Therapy in London. In 2017, she added Multi-family Therapy training at the University of Exeter.
She is a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Angela also holds membership with the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice. These registrations highlight her commitment to professionalism, ethics, and continued learning.
Outside her professional life, Angela enjoys the outdoors, particularly the Devon coast. Sunny days often draw her to the beach, where she enjoys a cup of tea while watching the world pass by. She also values spending time with family and friends, nurturing the same connections she encourages in her clients.
