Welcome to Glenbrook Practice in Constantia, where we empower individuals to navigate life’s challenges and achieve personal growth through Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Founded in 2015 by Jonathan Mitchell, Glenbrook Practice combines over 20 years of experience and expertise to offer comprehensive and personalized mental health services. With a strong focus on DBT, our programs help individuals learn to manage intense emotions, impulsive behaviors, and build essential life skills for mental well-being.
Jonathan’s journey in the mental health field began at Kenilworth Clinic Cape Town’s adolescent unit, KAYA (now Akeso Clinic Kenilworth), where he specialized in DBT. He further honed his skills through his BA in Health Sciences and Social Services and Lifeline’s personal growth and counseling courses. Jonathan’s passion for continuous learning and growth has been instrumental in shaping Glenbrook Practice’s philosophy: “Growth Through Awareness.”

At Glenbrook Practice, we emphasize growth through awareness. We believe in the power of self-discovery to lead individuals toward improved mental health, resilience, and personal fulfillment. Dialectical thinking, which involves synthesizing opposing viewpoints, underpins our approach to therapy, enabling clients to view challenges from multiple perspectives and find balanced solutions.
