In 2005, Mr Elhassan completed his medical degree at Barts and The London, University of London. A decade later, he earned a prestigious Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Then in 2016, he received his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Otorhinolaryngology from the UK’s General Medical Council.
Currently, Mr Elhassan serves as a Consultant Surgeon at Homerton University Hospital Foundation Trust. Simultaneously, he treats private patients across London. His leadership extends beyond the clinic—he introduces quality improvements and manages clinical teams. As Deputy Clinical Director for ENT in London, he co-designed efficient ENT pathways to help ease post-COVID surgical delays.
Mr Elhassan’s work bridges innovation and academic medicine. Holding a BSc in experimental pathology, he guides medical students and junior doctors. Moreover, he promotes surgical innovation and publishes on evidence-based ENT treatments. As a passionate educator, he chaired the Junior branch of the Association for the Study of Medical Education and led a national medical education conference.
He pioneered the first cadaveric sinus surgery course in Wales. His commitment to training earned him university honors for curriculum development. By blending research, education, and surgical expertise, he continues to shape the future of ENT care.
