McFerran Physio Bristol Cribbs is led by Alan McFerran, a highly qualified and experienced physiotherapist. He brings almost two decades of hands-on experience to every patient he treats. Alongside his work in private practice, Alan serves as a First Contact Physiotherapist for the Gordano Valley Primary Care Network. He is the initial clinical contact for patients suffering from back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, foot, and ankle pain.

Alan also offers corticosteroid injections to help patients manage inflammation and joint issues effectively. His earlier career includes 11 years at Bristol City Football Club, where he served as under-21 and first-team physiotherapist. He diagnosed injuries, developed recovery plans, and prevented re-injury in professional athletes. His knowledge helped many players return to peak performance safely and efficiently.

Alan graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from The University of Manchester in 2005. He also holds a diploma from the Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine and is currently pursuing a master’s degree with the same institution. His training includes injection therapy and advanced musculoskeletal assessment.

He maintains full registration with HCPC, CSP, and AACP. Alan is also registered with major health insurers, including Aviva, Cigna, WPA, BHSF, and Simply Health.
