About Us

Midlothian Physiotherapy LLP, located in Eskbank, near Edinburgh, was established by three experienced partners: Paul Bryce, Kevin Dewar, and Alistair Matson. Prior to founding the clinic, we all worked together at Murrayfield Hospital in Edinburgh, bringing with us a wide range of experience in both the NHS and private sectors. Over the years, we have worked in musculoskeletal outpatients, orthopaedics, pain management, occupational health, paediatrics at the Sick Kids in Edinburgh, professional football, and Pilates, among other areas.

Between the three of us, we have accumulated over 45 years of clinical experience, treating everything from neck and back pain to sports injuries, sprained ankles, and post-operative rehabilitation. We have all worked in the Edinburgh area for over 10 years, giving us excellent working relationships with local consultants and an in-depth understanding of post-operative guidelines.

Physiotherapy

Our clinic offers physiotherapy for individuals who wish to pay for their own treatment. If you prefer this option, you can self-refer to the clinic, meaning there is no need to see your GP beforehand. Our skilled physiotherapists treat a wide range of conditions and provide effective rehabilitation tailored to your needs. We are also registered with BUPA and AXA, and we can assist with claims for health insurance, provided you contact your insurer prior to your first visit.

Occupational Health and Health & Safety Services

In addition to physiotherapy, we offer a comprehensive range of Occupational Health and Health & Safety services. These services are available to businesses and individuals across Scotland and Northern England. Our offerings include:

• DSE (Display Screen Equipment) assessments

• Workplace assessments

• Manual handling training

• First aid training

Location and Accessibility

Our purpose-built clinic is located in Eskbank, just outside Edinburgh. The clinic is easily accessible by public transport and road links, with convenient access to Edinburgh, Penicuik, and Dalkeith. If you’re unable to visit us in person, we also offer on-site clinics for two of our Occupational Health clients.

We understand that you have a busy schedule, which is why we offer flexible appointment times. Our clinic is open Monday to Friday, with appointments available from 8 AM to 8 PM on weekdays and 8 AM to 6 PM on Fridays. We don’t operate a waiting list, meaning you can book an appointment at your convenience without delay.
