As a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, my goal is to help you explore and understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I provide a confidential, non-judgmental, and supportive space where you can work through challenges and gain insights that lead to personal growth. Therapy with me is a collaborative process, designed to empower you to make informed choices and lead a more fulfilling life.
Through therapy, you will develop a deeper understanding of who you are, what you need, and how to move forward with greater clarity. My approach focuses on creating an open, trusting environment that allows for honest exploration. With this foundation, we can address difficult emotions and behaviours, helping you feel freer and more capable in your life and relationships.
Psychotherapy and counselling offer valuable insights into how we think, feel, and act. These sessions are an opportunity to uncover hidden patterns in your life, explore unresolved issues, and gain the self-awareness needed to break free from limiting behaviours. Through this process, you can begin to create meaningful change and move forward with a better understanding of yourself.
Counselling is typically short-term and goal-oriented, often focused on specific challenges or transitions.
Psychotherapy tends to be a longer-term process that delves deeper into long-standing emotional patterns, often rooted in past experiences or childhood.
Both forms of therapy are designed to support your emotional well-being and guide you towards healing and personal growth. Together, we will explore your concerns and work towards achieving the outcomes that are most important to you.
Supervision provides a dedicated space for therapists and counsellors to reflect on their practice and ensure that they are offering the highest standard of care to their clients. As a trained supervisor, I offer supportive supervision sessions to help fellow practitioners gain new insights, develop professionally, and maintain a healthy practice. Supervision fosters a space for reflection, personal growth, and professional development, contributing to better therapeutic outcomes for clients.
During our initial session, we will discuss your concerns and explore what you hope to gain from therapy. This meeting allows us to determine whether counselling or psychotherapy is right for you. If we decide to proceed, we typically begin with six sessions, which are usually held weekly. At the end of this period, we will review progress and assess if longer-term therapy may be beneficial. Please note that attending an initial session does not commit you to continuing therapy.
Confidentiality is a core value in my practice. Everything you share with me is kept strictly confidential, with the only exception being if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. I adhere to the ethical guidelines set out by professional organisations, including the Bath Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). These codes of conduct ensure that you receive a professional and respectful service throughout your therapy journey.
If you have any questions or would like to arrange an appointment, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I am here to support you on your path to greater well-being.
