Katherine Taylor, a qualified physiotherapist with over ten years of experience, leads the service. She holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Regis University, USA, and is HCPC registered. Katherine’s expertise spans geriatric fitness, pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation (including joint replacements, cardiac and spinal surgery), and chronic neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, stroke, and multiple sclerosis. She incorporates manual treatments, balance and flexibility improvement, gentle yoga, exercise, and wellness coaching, including sleep hygiene and nutrition advice. Katherine offers both in-home physiotherapy sessions and small group fitness classes at care homes and workplaces in the local area.

Joining Katherine is Lucy, a physiotherapy graduate from York St John University with a strong interest in respiratory physiotherapy and elderly rehabilitation. Lucy has experience treating patients with dysfunctional breathing and other respiratory issues, as well as neurological conditions including stroke and Parkinson’s disease. As a GB long jumper, Lucy brings valuable insight into sports injury rehabilitation, combining massage, manual therapy, taping, and exercise prescription to support athletes and active individuals in their recovery.

Our team’s founder qualified in 2008 from Teesside University and gained early experience working in private practice in Australia. She developed a passion for treating sports and work-related injuries using a hands-on approach. Trained in Western Acupuncture, Dry Needling, sports massage techniques, and Pilates (DMA and APPI certified), she employs a variety of therapies such as trigger point release, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, and mobilisation techniques like Maitland and Mulligan. She also has specialised knowledge in neurological rehabilitation for Parkinson’s disease, holding a PD Warrior Instructor qualification to promote neuroplasticity. Additionally, she works closely with Dr Sanjay Guptar, Consultant Cardiologist at York Teaching Hospital, providing holistic care for cardiovascular patients.
