Description

Cindy Holtzhausen – Speech Therapist – Die Wilgers

Ms Cindy Holtzhausen – Speech Therapist – Die Wilgers co-founded BrainLife over a decade ago and has dedicated more than twenty years to adult neurological rehabilitation. Graduating with her B Communication Pathology from the University of Pretoria, she fell in love with neuro-speech therapy early on. Moreover, she integrates evidence-based adult neurology approaches in every session.

As General Manager and lead Speech Therapist, Ms Holtzhausen oversees programme development while maintaining an active clinical caseload. Consequently, she guides survivors of acquired brain injury, stroke, and neurodegenerative conditions toward measurable communication gains. Furthermore, she mentors a multidisciplinary team of therapists, ensuring each client benefits from cohesive care.

In addition, Cindy contributes to the field through regional workshop leadership and peer-reviewed publications on neuroplasticity and cognitive-communication rehabilitation.
