Dr Joubert Slabber is a board-certified Anaesthesiologist and seasoned anaesthesia specialist practising at Mediclinic Cape Gate Hospital and its Day Clinic in Brackenfell . He completed his MBChB at the University of Pretoria in 2001 before undertaking his internship in Scotland. Consequently, he returned to South Africa and began his anaesthesia career in 2004 .

Furthermore, Dr Slabber pursued specialist training at the University of Stellenbosch, where he earned his MMed (Anaesthesiology) in 2009.
