About Me

Simba’s passion for animals began in Zambia, where his parents introduced him to the family dogs at a young age. This early connection sparked a lifelong dedication to animal care. Growing up in York, Simba developed his love for horses and started riding, which further deepened his bond with animals. Alongside his studies and part-time work, he seized every opportunity to gain practical experience. This included volunteering at a local livery yard and riding school, supporting the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), and shadowing canine hydrotherapy sessions.

Simba developed a special interest in rehabilitation following injury or surgery. He is motivated by the desire to follow each patient’s progress closely and help them recover fully. This passion led him to study at Moreton Morrell College in Warwickshire, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy, accredited by Coventry University.

Since returning to York, Simba has found great satisfaction in working directly with animals and improving their quality of life through targeted physiotherapy treatments. He applies evidence-based techniques to ensure the best possible outcomes for his patients.

Simba is a member of the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP). Established in 1985, NAVP promotes professional veterinary physiotherapy practice. The organisation upholds high standards of care by encouraging the application of scientific research in clinical work. As a NAVP member, Simba adheres strictly to these standards, ensuring his patients receive the highest quality treatment.
